Chloé Fandel is an Assistant Professor in the Geology Department at Carleton College.
Her research focuses on answering practical questions about how to steward land and water in working landscapes. She uses large groups of computer models to simulate groundwater flow through karst systems, with the goal of identifying practices that will minimize human impacts on groundwater.
She has been creating scientific illustrations for over ten years, and her work has appeared in peer-reviewed journal articles, NGO white papers, public signage, park visitor centers, and published books.
In her free time, she seeks out unexpected delights.
